I was just thinking about the immigration issues we are all experiencing on our Southern Boarder. A couple million people have illegally crossed the open boarders of the US and infiltrated our communities all over the Country. Along with the people we know about, there are thousands of those that crossed over our boarders without being caught or even documented. The word is that the Mexican Cartels control all of this illegal invasion, garnering millions of dollars in return for a "safe" transition into the United States. All this time, our President and Congress have done nothing to control this invasion. Kind of makes you wonder why we won't do something to control the boarder for a real safe and legal entry?
The Dems tell us it is the humanistic thing to do. These poor people need the US to help them survive, to protect them from the tyranny in other countries. The drugs and terrorists that come into the US at the same time are just the price we have to pay to help these poor people. On the other hand, the Reps, when they are in power, try to build walls and keep the invasion back in Mexico by buying their corrupt politicians, while ignoring any attempts to comprehensively overhaul existing immigration laws and deal with the dreamers and others already in the US. Again, it kind of makes you wonder why?
Well now, I learned over my 74 years the old adage of "follow the money" almost always contains the answers. We in America find it easy to demonize the Cartels when we don't really know much about them. We just know from TV and the media that they are bad people that live in Mexico. Do we know all this is true, or are we looking at another false news event? Who are the Cartels? Who are the key personnel of the Cartels? Does all the money they collect stay in the Cartel or does some of it flow into American bank accounts held by a few? Along with that, how much of the Cartel drug money flows to those same back accounts to keep the boarder open for drug flow? We might want to stop believing that all Cartel management and operations are limited to Mexico.
I'm not saying that this is going on for sure. It just looks like a big money opportunity that might explain why the reluctance on the part of our politicians everywhere to do absolutely anything to deal with the open boarder situation we now have. It is just something to think about.
